Tender to provide travel agent and conference services to REMPEC – 21/03/2016

The Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) launched an invitation to tender for the provision of travel and conference services to the Centre.

In this regard, tenders duly signed by an authorised official of any relevant company/organization could be submitted to REMPEC, and had to be perfectly legible so that there can be no doubt as to words and figures. Cost quotations had to be in EURO, and only quotations in EURO were to be accepted.  The offer had to be valid for 150 days from the date of closure of this tender.

Tenders had to be submitted to REMPEC by post, by courier or delivered by hand, by not later than 8 April 2016, at 17:00 (GMT +2), using the following address and label.

Bids that do not comply with the conditions outlined in the tender document were to be rejected at the opening session.

Please note that all expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid had to be borne by the Bidder, and that services procured by REMPEC are normally exempt from all taxes and customs duties or value-added tax.

The bids were to be opened by REMPEC Procurement Selection Committee.Submission of a bid implied full acceptance of REMPEC’s terms of conditions referred in paragraph 20 of the Annex to the Tender document. 

Tenderers were to be informed by REMPEC whether or not their bid has been accepted.  During the procedure, any contact concerning the tender between REMPEC and the tenderers was prohibited. However, any information deemed necessary for preparing an adequate bid could be requested by not later than Friday, 1st April 2016 at 17:00 (GMT +2).  Such requests had to be sent by email to the following address: csacco@rempec.org. REMPEC would reply to any request for additional information in strict compliance with the equal treatment principle. Provided that they have reached REMPEC before the abovementioned deadline, requests were to be be answered by email and published under the news section of the REMPEC website: http://localhost:8096, in which the tender documents will also be available.  Tenderers were invited to consult the website frequently. The name of the requesting party was not to appear on the website.
