National Workshop on Contingency Planning, Montenegro – Sep 07, 2010

Following the field mission carried out between 25 and 27 May 2010, the Maritime Safety Department in cooperation with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) organized a National Workshop on Contingency Planning between 7 and 9 September 2010, in Bar.

The objectives of the Workshop were to define the role and responsibilities of the relevant administrations attending the workshop and test the proposed national system for combating oil marine pollution.

The recommendations of the workshop will serve as basis for the finalization of the National Contingency Plan. REMPEC continues assisting Montenegro in the finalization of its National Contingency Plan which is expected at the end of 2010.
