The Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) is a United Nations Centre established in Malta in 1976 by the Mediterranean coastal States. The Centre is operated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) within the framework of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) which is one of the Regional Seas Programmes of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

REMPEC is seeking the services of an Administrative Assistant for a period of maximum of two years, starting as soon as possible and no later than 01 March 2019.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The selected person will provide project administration support for the day-to-day operation and implementation of the EU-Funded Western Mediterranean Region Marine Oil & HNS Pollution Cooperation (West MOPoCo) Project, throughout 2019 and 2020.

The ideal candidate will have complete proficiency in written and spoken English, should have at least four years’ administrative and financial management recent work experience, complete secondary education or equivalent to university entrance standard and have excellent computer and drafting skills. Previous experience in project management and coordination and ability to communicate in French, will be considered an asset.

Remuneration: The gross salary presently stands at EURO 1,542 per month (free of income tax in Malta).
